I designed an interior that suits Joseph's clientele (the luxury ready-to-wear brand founded in the 1970s by Joseph Ettedgui), namely confident and independent women, while conveying the brand's wish to transition towards greener production.

Brief

The brief was to create a retail concept in the ready-to-wear sector. After analysing the Joseph brand, we adapted notions of eco-responsibility, recycling and reuse to the client's brand image.

Research phase

This folder contains the historical, societal, competitive and legal research, an analysis and an organisation chart of a boutique, marketing standards, as well as research on lighting and other personal studies aimed at defining the brand's identity and finding my concept.

Design

The challenge of this project was to favour eco-design, notably by incorporating second-hand pieces, without falling into ecological clichés and while preserving the brand's luxurious feel.

Outcome

This approach translates into a palette of natural colours, raw materials (paints, wood) certified by ecological labels (NF Environnement, FSC, PEFC, Bois de France, EU Ecolabel), fabrics for the seating and curtains sourced from dormant stock, and a linoleum floor, an eco-responsible material that is 100% natural and recyclable.
